Popcorn Learning Media was started by Mark Glanville and Eric Gresswell in March 2015 with one goal and three simple principles:
To be “the number one brand in the Learning Technologies sector” by
- Helping customers make the complex simple;
- Creating beautiful, engaging and inspiring digital learning; and
- Helping our customers make the most from their learning technologies.
Two and a half years later our regular customers include Marks & Spencer, Dixons Carphone, Nando’s, Bensons for Beds, NHS and Lonza.
Mark and Eric had worked together for over 10 years, Mark as a Digital Learning Specialist and Eric as a Head of L&D. Both were customers of the elearning sector and were frustrated by the lack of instructional design, focus on ROI and quality of creative design that was being produced; so, they began to produce their own.
With no funding, just the belief that their approach was what the sector needed, they left their roles and set up Popcorn.
With Eric speaking to customers about their needs from an experienced point of view and Mark creating the magic, they now have a team of 9 people and have turned over £800k since the business began 30 months ago.
